Sony Xperia Z3 Compact officially available in the US (unlocked)
Not long ago, we told you that Sony would launch all its new Xperia Z3 devices in the US - not just the 5.2-inch Z3 (which, by the way, will land at T-Mobile on October 29). Well, we're happy to inform you that the Xperia Z3 Compact is now officially available to order via Sony’s US Store.
Since no carrier is offering it at the moment, the Z3 Compact is sold unlocked, for $529.99. Unfortunately, the handset is backordered, but it will most likely start shipping soon. You can get the Z3 Compact in black, white, green, or orange. Mind you, this is a GSM / LTE device, so you’ll be able to use it on AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s networks, but not on Verizon and Sprint.
The Xperia Z3 Compact packs the same processor and cameras as the Z3, but it’s smaller, sporting a 4.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels. The smaller display helps it provide great battery life. Just like its bigger brother, the Z3 Compact is dust- and water-resistant, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. You can find out much more about the handset by reading our Xperia Z3 Compact review.
