Sony Xperia XZs price and release date
All eyes might have been on the whopping new 4K phone by Sony today - the XZ Premium - but there are three other phones announced, and one of them has all the makings of a hit handset. The new Xperia XZs comes at a very pocketable and palm-friendly size with a 5.2" 1080p display, but it's one pretty little monster, too, with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB RAM, stereo speakers, waterproof certification, and Sony's new 19 MP sensor that does super slow-mo 960fps video.
The XZs is an interesting hybrid, as it combines upper midrange specs with some high-end features, but, given that it's a Sony, expect the price to lean towards the latter side. Sony said that its new Xperia XZs will hit shelves in April, and will start you off at at $599, with the 64 GB version running for a Benjamin more. That's the pricing of the LG G6 or an eventual Galaxy S8, so we will see how Sony intends to battle these two juggernauts when we get the XZs here in the office for review.
