There is no shortage of novelties with the new Sony Xperia XZ when compared not only to the now-defunct Z portfolio, but also to its direct predecessor, the Xperia X Performance. 

While both sport Snapdragon 820, 3 GB RAM and 23 MP cameras, the similarities end under the hood, and the Xperia XZ is quite a standout beast in Sony's Android universe.
