Sony Xperia S: Bound for the UK possibly this month with love
No arguing about it, but the UK is seemingly a hotspot for all things mobile related – mainly because the country sees a good share of new handsets right away, with very minimal wait. CES 2012 brought along a slew of exciting smartphones, and not surprisingly, the Sony Xperia S was clearly one of the memorable ones.
Potentially the perfect phone for James Bond 007, especially when recent movies featured phones from Sony Ericsson’s collection, it’ll make for the perfect complementary gadget for 007 to show off. Previously, it was reported that the handset would be launch in the March time frame, but we might actually see it a whole lot sooner – like this month even!
UK retailer Play is currently accepting pre-orders for the Sony Xperia S, but more importantly, it is “due for release on 30 January 2012.” Sounds awesome, right? Of course, there’s still the matter of shelling out $693 (£449.99) to buy this one-of-a-kind assassin, but we’re certain that good old Bond can somehow spend that kind of money without working up a sweat.
So yeah, there’s a good reason for UK consumers to be happy, but for those across the pond in the US, they probably need to come to the realization that importing is the only route for now with this beauty.
