Sony announces new Extra Bass series headphones with Google Assistant
Sony makes some of the best wireless headphones, but they don't come cheap at all. Luckily, the Japanese company is determined to rectify that with the new Extra Bass series headphones announced today, the WH-XB700.
If you favor listening to music with bass, Sony's new WH-XB700 headphones promise to offer all the features from the previous Extra Bass headphones, while adding many improvements, such as enhanced vocal clarity.
More importantly, Sony claims its new headphones can provide up to 30 hours of music with wireless freedom. Also, they feature an upgraded quick charge function should offer one and a half hours of wireless playback after just ten minutes of charging.
Furthermore, as the title says, Sony WH-XB700 headphones come with built-in Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, which provides a hands-free, voice-controlled experience. Simply tap a custom button located on the left earpad and as your preferred voice assistant to play favorite tracks and more.
The WH-XB700 should also offer a smart listening experience with the Sony Headphones Connect app, which enables customization of Clear Bass, Surround and Sound Position Control.

According to Sony, the new Extra Bass series wireless headphones should be available for purchase in selected countries in the Asia Pacific from March 2019. The rest of the world will get them from April for around $175-$200, depending on the region.
