Sony's mysterious 6-inch H4233 model is the Xperia XA2 Ultra, here's what to expect
The H4233 Sony smartphone model is actually next year's Xperia XA2 Ultra, according to Slashleaks. A recent post on the tech leaks platform reveals that the information has been confirmed by NBTC AND SIRIM, the official regulatory agencies of Thailand and Malaysia.
SIRIM's model enquiry page shows that the H4233 model is the XA2 Ultra
You might remember that the H4233 model was tested on benchmarking site GFXBench back in September. The listing supposedly revealed some of the most important specs of the device, including a 6-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, a 21MP main camera and 15MP front camera (both capable of shooting 4K video), 4 GB RAM, and 64GB of internal memory. Last but not least, the tested device was running Android 8.0 Oreo.
While the leak does look solid, we have to remember that nothing is set in stone until Sony officially confirms it. We'll have to wait a few months for that to happen, as the company will most likely unveil its next batch of phones at MWC 2018 in Barcelona (kicks off on February 26th). Sony's next generation of smartphones will supposedly have a brand new design, so we're definitely looking forward to next year's MWC.
