Sony Ericsson has announced the new K618 slim candybar handset which is a 3G phone with UMTS 2100 support. The device features a 1.9-inch 262k color TFT display with a resolution of 176x220, 2-megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom, as well as a VGA one for video calling. The music player supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ file types, which can be listened to with compatible devices, like Stereo Bluetooth headsets for example, through Bluetooth Streaming. Besides its good multimedia functionality, the K618 is also aimed at the business users as push email is supported too. Other specs and features of the device include:

- Music, Video and Photo DJ
- 3D games
- USB 2.0
- Flight Mode
The K618 will be available in Vibrant Black or Bright White color and is expected to be launched in selected markets from Q3 2006.
