Some T-Mobile stores receive dummy units of the T-Mobile myTouch, myTouch Q and LG Doubleplay
T-Mobile has three new Android handsets scheduled for launch on November 2nd. The T-Mobile myTouch, T-Mobile myTouch Q and the LG Doubleplay are all mid-range models with appropriate specs. The T-Mobile myTouch and myTouch Q are both being marketed at first time smartphone buyers, as we reported. Both models have a "Set-up Wizard" and a "Tips" widget that makes setting up either unit as easy as following directions. While the myTouch has a 3.8 inch screen, a virtual QWERTY and Swype, the myTouch Q offers a smaller 3.5 inch screen and a physical QWERTY keyboard.
The LG Doubleplay has a unique slide out QWERTY with a screen in the middle of the keyboard, splitting it in two. The phone, also known as the LG Flip II, will have Gingerbread aboard. The main screen will have an HVGA resolution (320 x 480) while the second screen will be smaller in size. A 5MP camera is on back with an LED flash. We expect to see a $149.99 price tag put on this device, as long as you put your John Hancock on the 2-year contract.
Pictures obtained by TmoNews reveal that some T-Mobile stores are getting in the dummy units for the T-Mobile myTouch, myTouch Q and the LG Doubleplay. It all fits into the timeline with the final act being the launch of the trio, two weeks from this upcoming Wednesday.
