OnePlus today sent out emails to notify interested customers (including us) that it's almost ready to start selling the OnePlus 3T in Soft Gold. The handset will be released on January 6 via the company's online store (see the source link at the end of the article). This will be OnePlus 3T's second color variant, after the Gunmetal one that's been available since November.
The Soft Gold OnePlus 3T will carry the exact same price ($439) and specs as the Gunmetal model, though without having a 128 GB version.
Last week, on the very last day of 2016, OnePlus started rolling out an over the air Android Nougat update (Oxygen OS 4.0) for the OnePlus 3T. Thus, the Soft Gold model could run Nougat out of the box, though we don't have confirmation on this yet.
Sold unlocked and compatible with all GSM/LTE carriers in the US (starting with AT&T and T-Mobile), the OnePlus 3T should be among your top choices if you want to buy a powerful handset that doesn't come with the typical high-end phone price attached. You can find out much more about the device by checking out our OnePlus 3T review.
