Snapdragon-laden Note 4 SM-N910 and Note 3 LTE getting Lollipop, download the firmware here
Тhe Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Snapdragon-laden Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) is rolling out in Germany already, it seems, through Samsung Kies, indicating a quick OTA follow-up, which we were tipped is already happening at spots in Europe. That's better news than yesterday's Polish-bound update, as Samsung has a grand research facility in Poland, so that update is usually not for the general public just yet, but rather test batches.
Galaxy Note 3's LTE version (SM-N9005) is obtaining the Lollipop treatment around the globe as we speak, too, and Samsung is even working on the Note II affair to boot. Actually, for the brave souls among you, the XDA-Devs community has already uploaded the Lollipop firmware for Note 3 (SM-N9005) - the Snapdragon version. Here's what you need to do to install it, with instructions courtesy of the Hitman-Creed uploader:
- Download the firmware file and extract (unzip)
- Download Odin v3.09
- Extract Odin zip-file
- Open Odin v3.09
- Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
