Skype introduces new video call features for Windows Phone 8.1
Skype has announced a couple of new features to its Windows Phone app for Windows Phone 8.1. The changes revolve around video calls. One cool feature allows you, for the first time on any mobile platform, to switch from a Skype call to a video call right in the middle of the conversation. The feature is available for you to preview on the app found in the Windows Phone Store.

Skype is tightly integrated with Cortana, the new virtual personal assistant on Windows Phone. You can go to Cortana and ask her to connect you via Skype video call, to anyone on your contacts list. Instantly, the video call is made. Cortana will be included in a special Skype for Windows 8.1 update, which will be available in the coming months.

You can check out a couple of quick videos showing off the above mentioned new Skype features for Windows Phone 8.1, by clicking on the two videos below.
