Hey, fellow kids! Skype now has Star Wars-themed Masks (lenses) and smileys

This year, mobile Skype went through a major change, which you may have noticed — it's now much more colorful, with an interface that pops with various animations. Oh, yeah, it also has stories... because why not?

But, starting with the latest update, that's not the only Snapchat feature you can find on Skype. The Microsoft-made chat app will now also have "masks" — you know, augmented reality filters that apply different animations to your face. To celebrate the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, said masks are all Star Wars-themed. You can transform yourself into a Storm Trooper, Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, and some other iconic characters.

We've also got a brand-new set of Star Wars emoji that we can use on both desktop Skype and mobile alike.

The update is supposed to be on a rollout right now, but it still not available in most regions. We assume it should pop up pretty soon.
