Skype 1.1 makes its presence known for most S60 powered devices
For the many millions out there trotting an S60 powered device, whether it be 3rd or 5th edition handsets, Skype for the platform recently got treated to a minor update to version 1.1. It's by no means a huge difference from the previous version, but this one is accompanied with some minor new presentation looks as its core functionality is still intact and unchanged. However, the most interesting part of it all is that this one now takes up less memory on the handset – it steps up to the plate at around 10MB in size. In addition to using their IM client to chat with friends through your handset, you'll also be able to execute some Skype-to-Skype voice calls which rival the quality seen with other VoIP services. If you haven't done so already, you can grab Skype 1.1 through the Ovi Store or by simply pointing your handset's web browser to m.skype.com.
