Shipments of Google Pixel phones are now going out to those who pre-ordered the device
A lot of smartphones have come out so far this year, but one of the most talked about ones is easily that of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. These are the first two phones we've ever seen that are made entirely by Google, and as a result, the closest direct competitor we've ever seen from Google to take on the iPhone. The announcement of the new Pixel phones certainly created for a bit of a polarizing effect among Android users, but with the XL officially selling out of the Google Store earlier this week, it's obvious that there's still a great want for the new handsets.

If you happened to be one of the many people that pre-ordered either the Pixel or Pixel XL on the Google Store shortly after its announcement, you should be getting a confirmation email sometime soon (if you haven't gotten it already) to confirm that your order has officially shipped. The actual time that it will take for the phone to get to you will depend on when you placed your pre-order and where in the world you're located, but as always, you can use the included tracking number to keep tabs on where your new handset is at at all times.

We recently reviewed the larger of the two handsets, the Pixel XL, and gave it a 9 out of 10 - saying that "The Pixel brand represents a new beginning for Google's smartphone efforts, and this looks like a great place to start."

Although the XL is currently out of stock on the Google Store, the smaller Pixel is still available for purchase. However, with estimated shipping dates estimated anywhere between 4 and 5 weeks, you're going to be left waiting quite a bit of time before you can actually get your hands on one.
