September 29th update coming to Super Mario Run brings new new character, new world and 50% off deal
Remember last December when Nintendo released the Super Mario Run game for iOS? On March 22nd of this year, the game was made available for Android users. For a period of time following the launch of the game on each platform, there was a flurry of activity as fans of Nintendo in general, and Mario is particular, installed the app. The game is free, by the way, but that gives you only limited game play. It costs $9.99 if you want to unlock the entire game.

While the excitement of Super Mario Run has died down, Nintendo is hoping to raise the "thrill" level with an update to both the iOS and Android versions of the game on September 29th. The update will allow you to play the game as Daisy, and there will be a new world (World Star). In addition, a Remix 10 game mode will randomly put you on ten different levels for a constantly changing experience. And with the update, you will be able to replace the usual Super Mario Run music with your own tunes. Your character will be shown wearing headphones to reveal that you've replaced the music from the game with your own tunes.

The best news of all is that from the first day that the update is released, September 29th, through October 12th, you can purchase the entire Super Mario Run experience for 50% off the usual $9.99 price. That alone might spur interest and generate new subscribers more than the new player and the extra world could ever accomplish.
