Second hit: Maze to launch the Alpha X, upgrading the bezel-less bargain of a phone

About 4 months ago, Maze — a newcomer in the mobile phone world — launched its first handset, appropriately named the Alpha. A nearly-bezel-less handset with just a chin under its 6-inch display, a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC, up to 6 GB of RAM, a dual camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery that is still for sale for $190 - $234. But Maze isn't done for this year, nope. The company has now announced the Alpha X — an evolution over the original Alpha.
The new phone upgrades the screen to an 18:9 ratio while maintaining a 6-inch diagonal, so it's a bit narrower while getting a bit taller — in line with today's trends. The resolution is now 1080 x 2160 (FHD+) and we still have thin bezels and just a chin below the screen. According to Maze, the phone has an 89.6% screen-to-body ratio.
The Alpha X is a full glass sandwich, with a Gorilla Glass 5 slab on the front and a Gorilla Glass 4 covering the back. The chin houses a physical button with a fingerprint reader and the selfie camera.
As far as hardware goes, details around the processor are still undisclosed, but it's known that the Maze Alpha X will come with 6 GB of RAM. The handset will still have 2 variants, but they will differ in storage space — 64 GB and 128 GB. We still have a 4,000 mAh cell to keep the lights on and the camera on the back will tote a Sony-made sensor this time around.

The new Alpha X will be hitting the market in November and we expect we'd have more details on hardware as well as pricing then.
As we mentioned, the Maze Alpha is still for sale here:
