Screen shots appear for LG's modular VX9600
We have been keeping you up-to-date on LG's VX9600, the rumored modular cellphone that is supposed to be coming Verizon Wireless' way. The only clue that such a model is getting closer to appearing in Big Red's line-up is a recent rebate sheet that included the model number. Speculation was that the device was in stock at Verizon Wireless stores, simply awaiting the green light to be released. That may not be so, as the spy shots making the rounds online show a Spanish version of what looks like a Flash-Lite UI. The pictures show a tip calculator, what appears to be a World Time function and a screen with the current day and date on the side of a die. Sources say that the phone will be shipped with a detachable keyboard included. Other attachments, like a Wi-Fi appliance with Internet capabilities, a game pad, speakers and other items, must be purchased separately. The concept remains unique and interesting, but where are you going to put all your attachments when not in use?
