Remember when movie tickets were $2? Those were the days when the front of the local theater would have a banner promoting the air conditioning inside. Today, there are so many expensive premium theaters. Some seat you in a Lay-Z-Boy recliner, others offer 3D images, snacks delivered by a waitress, and others have moving seats synced to the action on the screen. As you know, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Those amenities are going to cost you a pretty penny.
But Apple is teaming up with movie ticket buying firm Fandango to save you $5 on the purchase of movie tickets from the Fandango.com website, or from the Fandango app, To get the discount, you'll need to pay for the ducats using Apple Pay. When checking out, use the coupon code "AppleCheer" in order to get the discount. The tickets must be purchased anytime between now through January 2nd.
Apple has been pushing out emails with special offers available to Apple users who pay for purchases using Apple Pay. Last month, when Apple Pay was used to pay for food delivered from delivery service Postmates Unlimited, users received a discount.
If you have yet to see The Last Jedi or The Greatest Showman, now is your chance to do so and save $5 on your ticket purchases. See you at the movies!
From now through January 2nd, use Fandango and Apple Pay to pay for your movie tickets, and save $5
