Samsung’s security update for May cures more than 60 vulnerabilities and issues
Samsung’s new monthly maintenance update is not released yet, but it looks like the company is almost ready to launch its software patch for May and to add more security to its “major flagship models”. In fact, the company does not specify the list of devices, which will be the first to receive the update, but following the simple logic we can assume that it means models like Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, and S7 Edge.

According to the latest post on the Samsung Mobile Security blog, the patch includes Google's monthly security update for May, which consists of fixes for a total of 54 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and also includes solutions for 11 more issues, which are specific to Samsung's Galaxy devices.

Most likely, you will receive a notification for the pending update on your Samsung device, as soon as it is ready to be downloaded and installed. You can also check if the update has reached you by going to Settings -> Software update.
