Samsung’s new Windows Phone packing a quad-core Snapdragon CPU and Adreno 305 GPU
While news about a Verizon bound Windows Phone from Samsung just started circulating, we are already seeing more information come about for the device known as SM-W750V.
Codenamed “Huron,” this new device had some specifications come across GFXBench. The one thing that may stick out like a sore thumb is a listed screen resolution of 1280 x 720. Pay that no heed as other HD devices on the site show the same resolution (such as the Lumia 1520).
What is revealing is the quad-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. For those that are into the intense graphics specifications, that may seem a bit on the light side. However, Windows Phone as an operating system has proven that is can work pretty well even with the most meager of modern specs.
Meanwhile, the scores off GFXBench show this Samsung can handle the content at a respectable frame rate. That means we should be able to enjoy plenty of media on the purported 5-inch 1080p screen on hardware that looks a bit like a Samsung Galaxy S.
