Samsung's TabPRO and NotePRO slates coming to the US later this month carrying premium price tags

Starting today at midnight, both Samsung's TabPRO and NotePRO tablet lines are up for pre-order from a number of venues, including Samsung.com, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon and Newegg. The TabPRO 8.4 and 10.1, along with the NotePRO 12.2, will all start shipping to consumers as early as February 13. The largest, 12.2-inch TabPRO model will only be made available in March. All of Samsung's new tablets carry a premium price tag.

As it turns out, Sammy hasn't quite ramped up production just yet, and for the time being there won't be any 3G/4G LTE models available, meaning no cellular data on the go -- just Wi-Fi. Starting with the 16GB TabPRO 8.4's $399.99 price tag, it keeps on going all the way up to $849.99 for the 64GB model of the stylus-equipped NotePRO 12.2. In between are the $499.99 TabPRO 10.1 (16GB) and the $649.99 TabPRO 12.1 (32GB). At this time, it appears that internal storage is kept fixed, and there are only two color options -- black and white.

There's no denying that Samsung is pitting its versatile squad against Apple's more compact iPad division with the pricing of its new tablets, so it'll be interesting to see who will finish on top. For its part, Samsung has the slight advantage, as its devices are a tad newer than Apple's latest, and are outfitted with some really impressive, top-shelf specs.
