It's been almost a month since Samsung sent out
an invitation for its Unpacked event to be held on the 23rd of August. The image back then depicted a
Galaxy Note 8 silhouette with an S Pen pointing towards it. Pretty obvious who the star of the event is going to be, right?
Now, Sammy has posted a video on its YouTube channel, basically teasing the Note 8 further. The clip basically throws a number of inspirational words like “leap”, “innovate”, and “bigger” at us, then finishes up with the same silhouette from the invitation. The supplied text reminds us of the 23rd of August. Sorry, no secret glimpses at the new device or its features.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to inherit the 18.5:9 display ratio, first seen on the
Galaxy S8, the outstanding S Pen stylus experience that the line is known for, as well as all the bells and whistles, like an iris scanner, face scan for unlock, and the good-old fingerprint scanner, albeit in an odd position on the back. It's also said it will have a dual camera module, with one sensor being equipped with a telephoto lens and able to take portrait shots with blurred background.
Well, 9 days left to go, folks. Any hype?
