Samsung stuffs a quad-core processor into the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and calls it the Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus
A report out of China indicates that Samsung has a new model called the Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus. This handset carries the exact same specs as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 with one important difference. Instead of the dual-core 1.4GHz processor under the hood, the Korean based manufacturer is putting a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU inside the phone.

The rest of the specs remain the same, including the 5.8 inch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 (qHD). That combination provides a rather unexciting pixel density of 190ppi. 1.5GB of RAM is on board, along with 8GB of native storage. A 64GB capacity microSD slot is available, and the back and front facing snappers weigh in at 8MP and 1.9MP respectively. The 2600mAh battery keeps the gerbils spinning on the wheel and pre-installed on the phone is Android 4.2.2. The device will include Sammy's own applications like Multi Window, Popup Play, S Translator and more.

Right now, the Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus has been spotted in China and might not make it out of the country.
