Samsung releases first Galaxy S III ad for the Summer Olympics

We’ve known for a while that Samsung became an official sponsor of the 2012 Summer Olympics to better promote the summer launch of the Galaxy S III, and now you can view the first Olympic-themed ad that has been released. The ad does show off several of the features of the Galaxy S III, but as is typical of this sort of feel-good messaging the informative parts largely get lost amongst all of the imagery and music that is intended to invoke feelings of pride and competitive spirit.

But such advertising clearly works, as it’s a mainstay of marketing campaigns for all sorts of products. Give the video below a look-see and let us know what you think of it.
