Samsung officially confirms that the Galaxy S III flagship won't be unveiled at MWC this month
Putting a lid on speculations, Samsung has said in a statement that the sequel to its Samsung Galaxy S II won't be announced during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, but rather at a special, independent event.
The timeframe given for said Galaxy S III event is the first half of the year, which can mean anything from right after MWC, to June, a little bit before the phone is available for sale worldwide.
Here is the full statement that will tear the heart of every Android aficionado worldwide, and force them to load up in the patience department:
Thus Samsung's thunder at the MWC might actually be the rumored Galaxy Tab slate with the 2560x1600 screen and blazing fast Exynos processor. We agree that the Galaxy S III deserves a special independent unveiling, that will put the spotlight exclusively on it, we just don't agree on the waiting part.
