Samsung officially announces the Flight II and Eternity II - both bound for AT&T
Despite seeing the Samsung Flight II A927 making its debut with RadioShack exclusively, Samsung has finally gone out to officially announce the QWERTY handset and the upcoming Samsung Eternity II A597 too. As much as we see Samsung's TouchWiz interface being used in a handful of their handsets, the original Samsung Eternity was actually the first to bring the widget friendly interface to AT&T customers. The Eternity II is penned with an August 15th release date and features a 3” touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, microSD card slot, “three scrolling home screens”, social networking integration, and a full HTML browser. You can expect to fetch one come launch day at your nearest AT&T retail store or online, but pricing for it has yet to be unveiled.

On the other hand, we've already reported that the Samsung Flight II made its inaugural flight through RadioShack yesterday for the contract price of $49.99 and boasts a full QWERTY keyboard perfect for dishing up a quick text message. For those who prefer purchasing it without being tethered to a contract, you can purchase it full price for $299.99. Both devices feature AT&T's Mobile TV service with quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G connectivity.
