Samsung official says that there is no Galaxy S8 mini on the way
A few days ago, when we passed along the rumor about a rumored upcoming handset called the Samsung Galaxy S8 mini, we made sure to relay to you that the original source of the rumor didn't even post where he/she obtained the info from. As you can tell from the alleged name of the device, this is supposedly a mini version of the 2017 flagship model for Sammy. The Samsung Galaxy S8 mini was expected to carry a 5.3-inch display, and get powered by the previous generation's Snapdragon 821 chipset. 4GB of RAM was to be on board along with 32GB of native storage.

A tweet recently disseminated from China puts the kibosh on the mini variant of the Galaxy S8. A Twitter user who apparently has been the source of spot-on information before (related to Samsung), disseminated a tweet earlier this week; according to the post, a Samsung engineer has refuted the whole story about the munchkin sized Galaxy S8 mini.

If the tweet is legit, we wonder how many are going to be disappointed over the lack of the mini Galaxy S8. The rumors called for it to carry the same Infinity Display seen on the original full-sized model, which means that it would also have sported an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
