Samsung has sold over 40mln phones with touch-sensitive screens this year
The sales of handsets with touch-sensitive screens have been on the rise and the trend is stronger than ever. Samsung´s recently announced results make for illustrative example. The manufacturer has just blown its own trumpet stating the company has managed to sell more than 40mln handsets with touch-sensitive screens since the beginning of 2009, which is roughly four times the figure for 2008.

It´s interesting to mention that the affordable Samsung Star S5230 that has recently hit the 10 mln. mark accounts for almost one fourth of all units sold. The second best selling device is the Samsung F480 that´s been sold in 9 mln. units this year. One of the latest instalments to the manufacturer´s product catalogue, the Samsung Corby S3650 appears to have become quite popular as well, since the manufacturer has cashed in on more than 3mln units in the three months since the market release of the device. All this goes to show that Samsung seems to have hit the nail on the head and knows the market pretty well. Let´s wait and see what happens in December, when the sales of almost anything sky-rockets around Christmas.
