Samsung close to getting green light for mobile phone plant in Vietnam
Vietnam is where many smartphone leaks come from. Soon, we might be getting more leaks from the country related to Samsung. The manufacturer's Samsung Electronics Vietnam subsidiary, is close to receiving the green light to invest $3 billion to build a mobile phone factory in the northern part of the country.

If Sammy gets the green light from the country's Planning and Investment Ministry, the new factory would be the second such plant that Samsung Electronics Vietnam would be running in Vietnam. The first plant, which cost has been churning out handsets since March 2014. Overall, Samsung has pledged to invest $11 billion in the country.

The Planning and Investment Ministry is in charge of foreign investment in Vietnam. The agency must approve Samsung's request to build the factory, which would be located in Thai Nguyen province, where the current plant is located.
