Samsung USA confirmed that they have a version of the Samsung Galaxy S in the pipeline headed for T-Mobile under the name Vibrant. The T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant has been redesigned a bit by Samsung compared to the original Galaxy S. In the official photo we can now see four navigational buttons on the touch strip below the 4” Super AMOLED screen, instead of the original three. It will also take advantage of T-Mobile's HSPA+ data speed, where available.
The T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant still comes with Android 2.1, but some multimedia bonuses have been added to make the offer more enticing. The phone will ship with The Sims 3 preinstalled, and a separate 2GB card will be supplied with James Cameron's “Avatar” movie on it. Now, if they had just added “3D glasses” in that presser, that would spice things up, but alas, no. Still, you have Amazon Kindle for Android, Slacker Radio and MobiTV on board to pass time with.
The Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile can be all yours for $199 on a contract starting July 21st.
