Samsung Tizen SGH-N055 phone undergoes testing at NTT Docomo Japan
Samsung Tizen devices are coming and one of the first ones to arrive in the future has appeared under the SGH-N055 codename. The mysterious device appeared in a bug listing where a user says that “SGH-N055, docomo version, does not have this bug.” Obviously, this means a prototype of the device is already up for testing at Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo.
An earlier report suggested that the first Tizen smartphone is expected to come in five countries including Japan in October.
Chances are thus that the Samsung Tizen phone could get announced at the company’s developer conference and a launch could come in November or December, right in time for the busy Holiday shopping season.
Nothing yet is known about the Tizen smartphone, no specs or anything, but given that it will launch in Japan, we do expect to see some market-specific features like some form of water resistance for instance.
