Samsung Rogue and Verizon Razzle to refresh Big Red's catalog
This article has been updated on July 30.
An internal document just fell in our hands, providing us with some top-secret Verizon Wireless information. Alright, it isn’t that big but still it gives a confirmation that we’ll see the replacement of the Glyde, the Samsung Rogue U960, hit the shelves on August 15 which is pretty close to what we have heard previously. In addition to the large touch-sensitive screen, the Rouge, which we thought will be called the “Rogue”*Update*: It turned out the name has been mistaken here, as other sources still refer to the phone as the Rogue U960. However, it will sport a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3MP camera, HTML browser, stereo Bluetooth and up to 16 GB of expandable memory.
Samsung Rogue U960 Preliminary Specifications
The other interesting handset in the document is the Verizon Razzle, which is described as a replacement of the Blitz. According to the provided information, it will have a “swivel bottom” that will reveal a full QWERTY keyboard (unlike the Blitz, which is a slider). In addition, users will get a 1.3MP camera, stereo Bluetooth and a bundled 1GB memory card. The Razzle has an August 31 launch date assigned to it.
Thanks, sinfulta!
