Samsung Pay on Gear S3 not working with Google Pixel
According to earlier reports, the Samsung Pay feature of the Gear S3 smartwatch should have worked with all Android devices running KitKat 4.4 or a later version of Google's OS. However, this seems to exclude the Google Pixel for now.
A frustrated user took to Twitter to ask Samsung Pay support about an “Installation failed” error, while installing Samsung Pay on his Google Pixel XL. He received an official response a few hours later that the Pixel devices are not supported for Samsung Pay. Considering the previous statement that the app should work on all devices running KitKat and up, this came as a bit of a letdown for Pixel users.
Samsung Pay support continued, saying that its team is constantly working on adding new devices to the officially supported list, but didn't provide any estimates for a Pixel or Pixel XL support. So, for now, all we can do is wait.
