After Note 9, Samsung likely to unveil another major new gadget on August 30th
Get your calendars out and mark August 30th as that is when Samsung will hold its next big event and chances are that it's planning to unveil another major new gadget. Why do we say "another"? One simple reason: three weeks prior to August 30th, on August 9th, Samsung will hold a special Unpacked event to show the new Galaxy Note 9 to the world.

The other, August 30th Samsung event will happen a day before the official start of the IFA tech show in Berlin, Germany. The company has already started sending out invitations for the media.

So far, all rumors agree that is when Samsung will bring the spiritual successor to its popular Gear S3 smartwatch: the new Galaxy Watch.

The smart wearable is said to come in two sizes: a giant 46mm one, and a more moderately sized 42mm model. Both should be round smartwatches running on Samsung's Tizen platform, featuring the signature rotating bezel feature and adding support for more features among which support for up to 40 different workouts (the Gear S3 supported around 10 types of exercise).

The Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy Watch are certainly the two new Samsung gadgets to watch in the second half of 2019. Once again, here is a recap of when they would be unveiled:

  • August 9th: Samsung Unpacked event for Galaxy Note 9
  • August 30th: Samsung IFA keynote, expected announcement of Galaxy Watch

Now, keep in mind that the August 30th event is scheduled, but we are only speculating based on rumors that it can bring us the Galaxy Watch. This time around, Samsung has provided no clues that this would indeed be the case in the official invitation for the event. You can see the invitation right below.
