Samsung Gear VR gains support for Google's YouTube VR app

Powered by Oculus, the new YouTube VR experience on Samsung Gear VR will allow users to watch and discuss videos with others in a single, virtual space, among other things.
YouTube VR is already available on Daydream View, HTC Vice, and PlayStation VR, but a large chunk of customers, those using the Samsung Gear VR, were skipped initially. Thankfully, starting today, Samsung Gear VR folks join the millions of people who already had access to YouTube VR.
If you own a Samsung Gear VR, make sure to download the YouTube VR app from the Oculus Store, which is available for free starting this week. Along with support for Samsung Gear VR, Google announced that new, exclusive VR content is available to YouTube VR users.
