The older Samsung Galaxy Y DUOS
Earlier Tuesday, we told you about the
Samsung Galaxy Grand, a
new 5 inch phone made to sell for a reasonable price with some corners cut in terms of the display. More low-end is the
Samsung Galaxy Young DUOS, the GT-S6312. Expected to be introduced at MWC 2013 in Barcelona this February, this device is the sequel to the
Samsung Galaxy Y DUOS (GT-S6102). Both are dual-SIM card models and the upcoming model will be available in blue or white.
While we don't have any photos of the Samsung Galaxy Young DUOS, or the specs, we can look at the GT-S6102 to get an idea of what to expect. That model features a 3.14 inch QVGA display with a pixel density of 127ppi, a single-core 832MHz processor, and a 3MP camera. Android 2.3 is installed. We would expect the Samsung Galaxy Young DUOS to run on Android 4.0 or 4.1 with a
bump in processor speed.
We don't expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Young DUOS in the states where dual-SIM models haven't gone over that well.
