Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 starts receiving Android 8.0 Oreo in the US
Android updates tend to make their way to the United States slower than the rest of the world, but that's not always accurate. However, when it comes to the Galaxy Tab S3, that unspoken rule applies 100%.
Samsung kicked off the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy Tab S3 about two weeks ago, but the update only started to show up in the US this week. If you're stationed in the US and own the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, an update that weighs in at 1.23GB should be available for download in the coming days.
Some users have already received the update and shared more info on what it contains besides the usual Android 8.0 Oreo new features and improvements. So, Galaxy Tab S3 users will get the new Samsung Experience 9.0, improvements to biometrics, quick panel, home screen, Samsung Keyboard, system performance, lock screen, Smart View, Samsung Cloud, Find My Mobile, and Samsung account.
Also, the update is likely to include the May or June security patch. If you haven't yet been notified about the update, you can manually check for it or simply wait a few more days for the OTA to arrive.
