Android 8.1 Oreo rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 is the latest Samsung device to be updated to Android Oreo. The tablet that made its debut on the market about one year ago is unlikely to receive any other major OS update beyond Oreo, but let's not rule it out completely.
For the moment, if you own a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, you'll be pleased to know that an Android 8.1 Oreo update is now making its way to your device. The update has been recently spotted in Italy and will probably be rolled out in more European countries in the coming weeks before crossing the pond.
Apparently, the update includes the November security patch, which is quite surprising considering the fact that it hasn't been announced yet. Other than that, there don't seem to be any other unusual changes included in the update.
One other thing worth noting is that the update is only available for the LTE version, but the WiFi-only model will undoubtedly get it as well. If you're living in Italy and own the Galaxy Tab Active 2, make sure to hit that Software update menu as often as possible in the next week or so.
