Samsung's next smartwatch still powered by Tizen, features deeper Bixby integration
Samsung has a habit of revealing new smartwatches at the beginning of the fall, usually at IFA trade fair, and next year might not be an exception to the rule. The South Korean company has just started working on a new smartwatch, which is internally known as Pulse.
Development on the upcoming smartwatch only started this month, SamMobile reports, but Samsung has enough time to bring a well-polished product to the market if the smartwatch will be launched in September/October, just like the previous model.
The new smartwatch could be called Galaxy Sport, but that's just a guess based on the fact that the wearable devices heavily focuses on sports and fitness features. According to a person familiar with Samsung's plans, the smartwatch will be powered by Tizen OS and it will feature deeper Bixby integration.
We know many of you probably have no love for Samsung's voice assistant, but the Galaxy Sport will bring Bixby Reminder, which will allow users to get Bixby notifications from their smartphones to the smartwatch.

The report also mentions the smartwatch will pack 4GB internal storage, but that's just about everything we know about the Galaxy Sport. While we don't rule out a much earlier announcement (February/March), the very short development cycle makes it highly unlikely.
