With US consumers already reaping from Samsung's Android labors with the Behold II, our friends to the north are expected to see the Samsung Galaxy Spica make a quiet landing on Rogers. It's probably not going to cause much commotion in the wake of other Android handsets expected to launch in the near future – especially when these newer devices sport improved specs and mass-market appeal. The Samsung Galaxy Spica might've been a contender if it were released in North America a while ago – way before Android's big push during the fall. Without a definitive release date known for this handset, Rogers customers can expect to grab this Android 1.5 smartphone at a price of $79.99 with your signature down on a three year contract – which does seem pretty steep when you look at its full retail price of $449.99.
