Render of a purple colored Samsung Galaxy S8, a color option that has not been released by Samsung for its flagship
A report published today cites an unnamed source as saying that Samsung brass is considering purple as a color option for the
Samsung Galaxy S9. You might recall that earlier this year, prior to the unveiling of Sammy's current flagship line,
images of a purple Samsung Galaxy S8 graced our pages although the phone was never released in that hue. According to today's report, this will be a darker shade of purple that would be considered closer to a violet color.
Other color options mentioned include the same gold, black and blue offered with the
Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The front of the phone will remain all-black, and we should point out that the same color choices will be made available for the
Samsung Galaxy S9+.
We expect to see Samsung unveil its new flagship line earlier than in the past as a way to combat the headline drawing abilities of the
Apple iPhone X, and to beat the LG G7 to the marketplace. That could mean that
the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will both make some sort of appearance in Las Vegas next month during the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The 2018 event will run from January 9th through the 12th.
