Samsung Galaxy S8 Active render shows up on Amazon

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is likely to remain an AT&T affair in the United States, so if you're into rugged smartphones, it's the only carrier in the country where you'll be able to purchase one.

Unfortunately, neither Samsung nor AT&T announced anything about the rugged version of this year flagship, the Galaxy S8. Although the smartphone appeared a few times online, we're still waiting for the carrier to make it official.

The good news is we might be very close to Galaxy S8 Active's reveal, as the smartphone has just appeared on Amazon. A render of the handset is now listed by OMOTON, a company selling accessories for smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active screen protector (2 pack) costs $7.99 and will be available for purchase on August 1. The launch date of the screen protector could very well indicate that the Galaxy S8 Active will hit the shelves around the same time frame.

As far as Galaxy S8 Active pricing goes, the rugged handset is unlikely to cost consistently less than $700 outright. But customers who don't mind committing to long-term contracts will be able to get it cheaper.
