Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S7 and Moto Z should be updated to Android Oreo in June
Verizon Wireless is hard at work readying Android 8 Oreo updates for four smartphones released back in 2016: Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Motorola Moto Z Droid, and Motorola Moto Z Force Droid.

According to Verizon, these handsets should get Android Oreo "in a few weeks." Normally, a few should mean no more than three weeks, so we're expecting all four phones to receive Android Oreo before the end of June.

Interestingly, Verizon's Moto Z and Z Force were supposed to get their Oreo updates this month the latest. It's unclear exactly why the updates are being delayed. Hopefully, this time, the handsets will indeed be updated in a few weeks, as promised.

The unlocked US variant of the Moto Z has already received its Android Oreo update. The same can't be said about the unlocked US Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, although we are assuming these will get Oreo relatively soon, too.
