Samsung Galaxy S III with Android 4.2.1 demonstration video surfaces
Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy Note 8.0 to directly compete with the iPad mini but that device is only running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Problem is that is not the latest version of the Android platform available - it’s Android 4.2. Actually, all of Samsung’s recent devices run on 4.1, including the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note II.

All of them are expected to soon get bumped up to 4.2.1 Jelly Bean with its lockscreen widgets and nice little tweaks to the user interface. And unofficially, Android 4.2 has already been released in the form of a leaked ROM. A user Damian Kidd took the 4.2 ROM and flashed it on its Galaxy S III device, bringing us the first look at how Android 4.2 will run on Samsung’s devices.

You can see it in a five-minute video the user recorded showing all the new things coming in Android 4.2 (and of course the way lockscreen widgets are implemented). Take a look below.
