Last month, India's export-import site Zauba showed that the SM-G570 had been shipped into India for R&D and testing. Since the Samsung Galaxy On5 (2015) is model number SM-G550, it seems a good bet that the SM-G570 imported into India is the Samsung Galaxy On5 (2016). Today, the device was spotted on the Geekbench website after a benchmark test was done.
According to the Geekbench test, the Samsung Galaxy On5 (2016) will come with Android 6.0.1 pre-installed. It also will feature 2GB of RAM, and is powered by a quad-core CPU. The benchmark test resulted in a multi-core score of 2000. On Zauba, the only spec that was revealed was the 5-inch size of the screen.
Pricing and availability are unknown at this point. The Galaxy On5 (2016) has a sibling, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016). We expect the latter to feature a 5.5-inch screen with a Snapdragon 625 SoC under the hood.
