Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date on Verizon set for Nov 21st?
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is probably the hottest Android device ever made – at least that's what initial expectations and reviews point to, so we can't wait for the 4.65-inch Ice Cream Sandwich-flavored smartphone to arrive on Verizon. The Galaxy Nexus release date however was a secret, which seems to have been unveiled as The Verge claims to have a source at Google who has it narrowed down to November 21st.
Now, we only wish this secretive source would speak up and get us rid of all our doubts – after all, it's only a couple of days until the launch, if the rumor is true.
The handset has already hit UK soil yesterday where it's in an HSPA+ version, not the LTE model shipping to Verizon. Except for Android 4.0, the Galaxy Nexus impresses with hardware as it packs a powerful dual-core TI OMAP 4460 chip. It arrives with a set of new features baked in the OS like the NFC-powered Android Beam allowing you to tap phones to share information. But it's the overall polish on Android, that truly makes the Galaxy Nexus unique – something that hopefully a vast majority of users will be able to enjoy on Monday. It's expected to cost $299.99 with a two-year contract on Big Red.
