Samsung Galaxy M10 certification suggests release is imminent

Samsung may be done with the Galaxy J series but that doesn’t mean it’s quitting the entry-level smartphone market. According to a number of leaks and reports, the South Korean giant is now preparing a new budget series and, from the look of a new certification, the first model’s release could be just around the corner.

Set to be known as the Galaxy M10, the Samsung SM-M105F has just been certified (via 91Mobiles) by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Just like other listings of this kind, not too much is revealed about the device itself. However, in this case, the presence of Android 8.1 Oreo is confirmed. Additionally, the model number contains the letters ‘DS’ on the end, thus indicating that this particular model supports dual-SIM capabilities.

According to previously-leaked information, the Galaxy M10 should arrive with a tall 5.6-inch LCD display that is combined with an aluminum build. On the inside, Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 7870 is to be expected alongside 3GB of RAM and possibly 32GB of internal storage. Completing the setup should be a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie sensor, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Availability-wise, the Galaxy M10 is set to go official by the end of December or early January before sales commence later on that month. At the moment, though, the pricing of Samsung’s next entry-level model remains unclear.
