Samsung Galaxy J5 hits Germany with 5-inch HD screen, front-facing flash and Android 5.0

The Samsung Galaxy J5 has finally made it to Europe. The first country on the continent to get the phone is Germany, where Samsung has the handset listed on its website. Mobile operator Orange offers the phone in the country for the equivalent of $261 USD. The device comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen carrying a 720 x 1280 resolution. That works out to a 294ppi pixel density.

Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC, which contains a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 306 GPU. 1.5GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of internal storage (only 4.3GB is available to the user). There is also a 128GB capacity microSD slot on board in the likely event you need additional memory. A 13MP camera is on back with an aperture of f/1.9. That should allow you to snap quality pictures even under less than optimal lighting conditions. The 5MP shooter in front handles selfies and video chats, and has its own LED flash. Keeping the lights on is a 2600mAh battery, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 features a built-in FM radio, and supports 4G LTE connectivity. Unlike Sammy's current higher-end models, this handset is clad in plastic.

Thanks for the tip!
