The new Samsung Galaxy J3 goes on sale at Verizon for $170 outright
Verizon is the next carrier to add the Samsung Galaxy J3 to its portfolio. Following Samsung's announcement that the Galaxy J3 and J7 will be available in the United States, T-Mobile and Sprint started selling the former this week.

The Big Red offers the affordable smartphone for $7 per month for 24 months or $170 outright. However, for a limited time, customers can buy the new Samsung Galaxy J3 for just $125 on postpaid.

It's worth noting that Verizon sells it under a slightly different name than other carriers, so make sure to check for the Samsung Galaxy J3 3rd Gen, not the original Galaxy J3 that was launched back in 2016.

The smartphone ships with Android 8.0 Oreo on board and packs a decent specs configuration. It's got a 1.35GHz Exynos 7884 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB expandable storage, as well as a 5-inch HD (720p) display.

On the back, the new Galaxy J3 features an 8-megapixel photo snapper, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera. Everything of the above is powered by a 2,600 mAh battery that should offer up to 29 hours of average usage or up to 9.5 days standby time.

Also, the affordable smartphone comes with full support for HD Voice, Wi-Fi Calling, and Video Calling if that's what you're looking for.
