Samsung Galaxy Home mini smart speaker leaks ahead of official launch
Samsung revealed its own take on smart speakers last year, but the company's first product, suggestively dubbed Galaxy Home, has yet to make its debut on the market. We're not sure if Samsung has hit a snag with the project or the South Korean giant is simply waiting for the right moment to release the smart speaker.
The bottom line is we still don't know when exactly the Galaxy Home will be launched on the market, despite the hints provided by a handful of Samsung officials over the last couple of months. That being said, it looks like Samsung might be working on two smart speakers, a new report from The Verge claims.
A brand new filing at Federal Communications Commission confirms another Samsung smart speaker, which is smaller than the original device that the company has showcased last year. The Galaxy Home mini is likely to be a smaller, cheaper version of the Galaxy Home, but other than that there shouldn't be other differences between the two products.

Of course, both will be powered by Samsung's Bixby digital assistant, something that many will probably find unacceptable. The last time we've heard about the Galaxy Home, the smart speaker should have been released on May 10. Now, Samsung plans to ship it “in the first half of the year,” so we're still very close.
